Junior AI/ML Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate Junior AI/ML Engineer to join our fast-growing AI team. This is a unique opportunity to kickstart your career by working directly on production-grade Generative AI applications. You will work closely with senior engineers to build, test, and deploy models that solve real-world problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development: Assist in fine-tuning and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs) like Llama 3 and Mistral for specific downstream tasks.
• Data Engineering: Build and maintain data pipelines using Python to clean, preprocess, and augment datasets for training.
• Prompt Engineering: Experiment with different prompting strategies to optimize model outputs for accuracy and tone.
• Integration: Write clean, efficient Python API code (FastAPI/Flask) to integrate AI models into our core product.
• Research: Stay updated with the latest AI trends (RAG, Agents) and prototype new ideas.

Mandatory Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Python. You should be comfortable writing scripts, handling data (Pandas/NumPy), and building basic APIs.
• AI Fundamentals: Basic understanding of how Neural Networks, Transformers, and LLMs work.
• Tools: Experience with Git, Docker, and Linux command line.
• Curiosity: A strong desire to learn. You are the type of person who reads AI papers or builds projects on weekends.

Nice to Have (Bonus)

• Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB).
• Open source contributions or a portfolio of AI projects (GitHub link required).
